The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVDP) Conference at St. Alphonsa parish started in January, 2011. This Conference tries to uphold the true spirit of this international organization and offers assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. Besides, SSVDP helps its members grow spiritually through bi-weekly meetings and prayers. It also serves as an outreach organization, and renders volunteer service at a local Food Bank that helps the poor and homeless. The parishioners have enthusiastically pledged their support to this ministry in providing tangible assistance to those in need. Currently we have fourteen active members and many supporting members. Joshi John Vettom and Biju Kochukarottu are the President and Secretary respectively.
